We started as a Support Group in 2001 with just 12 brain tumor patients and their family members. As we grew we realized the need to offer more services and the Fox Valley Brain Tumor Coalition was founded in 2003 as a 501c3 nonprofit group. Our Support Group has now grown to over 400 members, making us one of the largest support groups in the country!
Unlike many non-profit organizations, the Fox Valley Brain Tumor Coalition has no paid employees. All monies received from donations and fundraisers go entirely towards the treatment and care of those who need it most. Our overall mission is to be a resource that supports the educational, emotional, and financial needs of our members.
The individuals who see to the day-to-day work of the Fox Valley Brain Tumor Coalition, are themselves touched by the effects of a brain tumor and fully understand the physical, medical and financial implications of a brain tumor diagnosis. As human beings, they realize the emotional toll the diagnosis of a brain tumor can have on a patient and his/her family as well.
Located in Appleton, WI, we offer our services to Fox Valley residents, as well as those in surrounding areas. We have members from as far out as Oconto Falls, Door County, Manitowoc, Fond Du lac, Waupaca, Berlin, etc. We try to help everyone, so if you live within an hour of the Valley, just give us a call to see what we can do! Our services are available to brain tumor patients regardless of who their doctor may be
